The email message claimed to originate from an unknown group of
extraterrestrials that wanted to ask global humanity the simple yet
profound question "Do You Wish That We Show Up?" If genuine, the
question carries with it deep political implications that deserve in-
depth discussion. Perhaps, more importantly, it implies that global
citizenry at the grass roots individual level has the power to make
decisions that affects all humanity and apparently bypasses the
conventional political process that is mired in the politics of
secrecy, inertia and non-disclosure of the extraterrestrial
presence. The message could be a forgery, disinformation or,
perhaps, the real thing!


The content of the message is very much what one would expect of a
`service oriented' extraterrestrial race desiring to assist global
humanity, but frustrated at the pace by which humanity is given the
truth about the extraterrestrial presence. With the global reach of
the internet, such a message would be precisely the strategy that
enabled service-oriented extraterrestrials to get their message to a
wide audience. My conclusion is that this is very possibly a genuine
contact message from a group of benevolent extraterrestrials that
desire to prod humanity along in dealing with the seriousness of our
global situation and the undisclosed presence of extraterrestrial
races. Irrespective of its origins and veracity, the message brings
into focus some critical questions for all interested in the
extraterrestrial presence. Are we ready for contact with
extraterrestrial races? What can be done to prepare for contact?
What will be the impact of contact on our society, religions, etc
anomies and political institutions?

At certain stages of evolution, cosmic "humanities" discover new
forms of science beyond the apparent control of matter. Structured
dematerialisation and materialisation are part of them. This is what

But there is a long way between a wish and a fact when the true
rules of the game at hand are unknown. This time, you are not the
conqueror. Biasing information is a millenary strategy for human
beings. Inducting thoughts, emotions or organisms that do not belong
to you via ad hoc technologies is an even older a strategy.

Wonderful opportunities of progress stand close to big subdual and
destruction threats. These dangers and opportunities exist now.
However, you can only perceive what is being shown to you. The end
of natural resources is programmed whereas no long-term collective
