Vietnam UFO Crash Metal May Be The Smoking Gun

According to Officials at the state run Vietnam News Agency, “An unidentified flying object exploded at about 10am on May 27 over the northern part of Phu Quoc Island." Colonel Nguyen Van Qui, a military commander on the island was the source of the report and no civilian, commercial or military aircraft are said to be missing in that area of southern Vietnam or nearby Cambodia.

The object that crashed was first seen in the skies over Cambodia where officials said it appeared as a “fire in the sky.” The thing exploded shortly after that and what was left of it crashed on Phu Quoc Island. Citizens of a commune on the island retrieved a piece of metal from the crash that they described as measuring “one metre by about 60 centimeters.” The metal is unusual looking and appears to have symbols engraved or stamped into it.

Additional pieces of metal were recovered by members of the military and civilians. At this writing, there are fourteen pieces in possession of the Military Command of Phu Quoc District. The metal debris rained down in Ganh Dau and Cua Can communes on Phu Quoc at about 10:20 a.m. on May 27, 2008, according to Lam Quang Chanh, a spokesperson for the provincial People’s Committee.

While it’s entirely possible that the sightings and recovered material may have nothing to do with an Alien Spacecraft, the events surrounding this crash are similar to other incidents involving UFOs. For example, some of the symbols that appear to be engraved or stamped into the metal (if they are genuine) are similar to those described by witnesses on the thing that crashed near Kecksburg, Pennsylvania, in the 1960s. An I-beam from the Roswell UFO Crash in 1947 was also reported to have unknown symbols on it.

Phu Quoc Island is a popular tourist destination located in the Gulf of Thailand. It has thirteen resort areas and several urban centers. The island was once considered a backwater area known primarily for the production of anchovy sauce and black pepper. Once a French territory with rubber and coconut plantations, Phu Quoc Island housed a prisoner of war camp during the Vietnam War. Vietnam and Cambodia struggled over possession of the island for years after the war until it finally became a part of Vietnam in 1975.

UFO crashes are rare events. When they occur in an area of the world that may not be under the control of the usual cover-up suspects, an opportunity presents itself for the nation and people involved to share what has happened with the world. Vietnam is a Communist country with close ties to China, so there still may be a tight lid clamped on this event at some point. If that doesn’t occur, we may have a chance to see the smoking gun that proves intelligent Alien life forms exist and are visiting the Earth.

From ANI News: UFO Dive-Bombs Elderly Couple (6/3/08)

Melbourne, Australia, June 3, 2008: Looks like aliens from outer space are no longer restricted to the movies and cartoons. An elderly couple has claimed that they had a close encounter with an Unidentified Flying Object (UFO) while traveling along a highway in Australia.

Lawrie Fuchs, 70, and his wife Gwen, 69, were returning to their home town of Elliott following a trip to Queensland on May 30 when they say the UFO swooped them as they drove along the Barkly Highway.

Estimated to be about six metres wide, they said that the object passed the vehicle with such speed that its slipstream forced their Mazda sedan into the middle of the road.

They were travelling in a westerly direction and were about 55km east of the Threeways roadhouse when the incident occurred.

It was about 4pm when suddenly we saw a dark, silvery flash and heard a loud sound as it passed,'' News. com. au quoted Mr Fuchs, as saying.

“It was travelling at a terrific speed, very bloody fast, and there was no warning at all.”

“I'm sure it dive-bombed us but I can't imagine why. I do a lot of bush work and over the years I've seen a number of strange, unexplained things,'' he said.

Mrs Fuchs said she saw a little flash just below the sun visor then heard a loud whoosh as it passed over.

“I actually thought it hit the car, but there were no marks,'' she said. (ANI)

Paranormal Encounters Reported To UFOguy.com

Possible Ghost Encounter - May 29th 2008 2:56 PM, Renton, Washington: I was sitting out side my grandmothers house on my skateboard. I looked into the field I saw an old man about 50-75 years old. He was wearing old jeans, a red and blue plaid lumber's jacket, he was kind of chubby, had red cheeks, a red nose, and was wearing black boots. I wasn’t drinking or taking any drugs, I don’t wear glasses. i have perfect vision, and i was wide awake. It was mid-day so it was light out side. It was sunny and warm, around 65F. He was at least 500 feet away. He looked at me, turned around, and walked away. he was walking at a normal rate. I was the only one there. my dog was also with me, i let him of the least because i saw the man, my dog ran up to him (about 25 feet away) stopped and looked around and came back to me to show that there was no one there. After I looked away for a moment to talk to my dad and then when I looked back he wasn’t there anymore.

UFO Sightings by Doug:

#1 - Around 1958, when I was about 11 years old (born in 1947) and living in Erie, Pennsylvania, I was out in the back yard of our home (an upstairs flat on Chestnut Street, a few blocks from the Erie Bay waterfront), I spotted a small orange-lit sphere slowing moving across the night sky. As Sputnik had recently been launched, I assumed it was Sputnik. I ran upstairs and brought the whole family down to watch it with me (whoever was home did come look). The lit sphere did nothing unusual, but continued across the sky. Years later (around 1974-75), I took an Astronomy class, and we went as a group into the foothills outside of Riverside, California, specifically to view orbiting satellites. I walked around checking with various ones who had the more snazzy telescopes, etc. Eventually I stood talking with the class instructor, and told him my Erie story. He stated that, while he had no way to know what the object was, it definitely was NOT a satellite.

# 2 - In 1970, I became intensely interested in UFOs, reading everything I could find on the subject, and at one point publishing a UFO Guide (which failed, selling only 12 copies). Because I was so interested, my mother (deceased 1921-2006) told me about her own sighting, which she had never told anyone for fear of ridicule…including no one in the family. At the time she told me, I estimated it had been over 10 years since her sighting (as we lived in West Virginia and Pennsylvania from 1955 to 1959, when we returned to California). Over 30 years after she told me this, I discovered she still had not told anyone else, and I had her tell it to my brother (in Louisiana, while there). Her religious beliefs would make lying about such a thing to be a sin in her eyes, and I am clear that she truly believes she saw what is described below.

She was standing in the back yard area of our country home in along Rush Branch, near Little Sandy Creek (road), about 17 miles out of Charleston and 3.5 miles out of Elkview, West Virginia. As we lived next to a small stream (Rush Branch) with forested hillside and valley on two sides of the yard, she was standing looking up over the wooded hill at the harvest moon. Beautiful, but nothing remarkable. Suddenly, the huge “moon” shot straight up until it disappeared.

#3 - An object sighted by myself, Doug E.C., and Christine E.B. in late May 1998, en route to Connecticut from California…as we passed by what appeared to be a geothermal electricity plant (and seemed to also have solar tracking mirrors) at Daggett, California along Interstate 40 not far from Barstow, California.

The object we sighted was at the plant, motionless, and hanging in mid-air near some sort of tower. It was glowing or rather iridescent, having somewhat multi-colored hues to its illumination. The object was closest to spherical in shape (not elliptical like the article below). We sighted it in midday, possibly before noon. We had no camera available and just sat and watched it briefly before continuing. No change in the object or its position was noted during observation. At the time, I pondered whether it might be a local phenomenon generated by intense heating of a mid-air focal point by the solar mirrors…never heard of such a thing, but was trying to think of a reason why the glow would appear hovering there. The tower’s height is unknown (but can be determined), but I would say it was equivalent to a several story building.

It was a very odd sighting and yet there was nothing to indicate specifically that it was a craft of any kind, nor even necessarily solid (although we could not see through it). While not highly brilliant per se, it was definitely bright enough to be seen clearly at midday (cannot remember if the sky or surrounding terrain was the background it was seen against).

I have never made an official UFO report, and this note is made in May 2008, as I contemplate reporting the various sightings I’ve had over the years.

#4 - While my wife, Diana L.C., and I (Doug E.C.) were visiting at a friend’s (Linda V. 32nd St. East) house in Lancaster, California, Linda called me to the back patio to see a light in the sky, saying it was a UFO and laughing. I ignored her mostly. She insisted and said there were now (then) several smaller lights flying around it. I still ignored her for awhile. When this continued, I finally went to the back patio to give this thing a look. She pointed out a small light in the distance (perhaps a few blocks away…in town, at night, completely dark out).

The light was amber-orange in color and was motionless. It could be seen just above and to the left of the silhouette of some trees and houses in the distance (est. 2-5 short blocks away). For all I knew, it could have been a street light, and was rather angular appearing (although I don’t remember a specific shape). I was going to go back inside, but she told me to just keep watching it…so I did. Suddenly, the light shifted positions to the right and was now approximately over the trees (from my viewpoint)…then it was again motionless and never moved again. This was interesting but not all that exciting, and certainly not something to call a UFO. At her insistence however, I remained and watched longer. Then a small light came from in or near the bigger light, and flew around it. Ah, must be a bird in the street light’s illumination. Sparks began to trail behind its flight at times, making my “explanation” fail. Then a second small light appeared and they both began to fly around the bigger light, and up into the sky then down toward the ground. After some time of this they smaller lights took off across open sky, far away from the bigger light where its illumination could no longer be attributed to them…they each had their own illumination. Now and then a trail of sparks would be seen briefly. The smaller lights came back to the bigger light and continued their display. This continued for 10-20 minutes at least, then my wife and I decided to go home.

As we left Linda’s house (in a tract of homes on the East side of Lancaster), we decided to drive around some blocks in the neighborhood to see if we could spot what the lights actually were. We drove up and down every street (the tract home ends and there is nothing else close enough to be trees by homes, street lights, etc.), but saw nothing at all. We called Linda on our cell phone and asked her to check to see if the lights were still there. She said the bigger light was still there and now there were about 8 smaller lights flying around it. But to us, there was nothing out there (the area where the lights were was approximately due south from her house). Having exhausted looking in the direction where the lights had been seen, we decided to drive eastward a bit, away from the houses out into the surrounding agricultural / open desert area, away from street lights, to see if we might spot something from that vantage point. As we drove along, I was not seeing anything, but ahead was what appeared to be a bright star, stationary. I drove along thinking how cool it would be if the star were actually a craft of some sort…just a crazy fantasy idea. As I stared at the light between bouts of looking around the night sky area in general, a long stream of sparks very much resembling a very impressive “shooting star” display, shot out precisely from the “star” I was watching, then faded out, leaving nothing unusual. I have no idea what to make of it, but it was rather odd for that shooting trail of sparks to appear just when I was looking at the star…if it was a star.

UFO Encounter - About 13 years ago, 4 friends and I went camping in Yellowwood State Forest, near Bloomington, Indiana. It was sometime after midnight (not sure of the exact hour), and we were sitting around the campfire, talking, and watching the skies (a common practice for us). We had noticed lights in the sky that we first thought were stars, but after closely watching them, we were able to tell that they were actually moving. We stepped into a darker area away from the light of our campfire to be able to better observe these lights that were "bobbing" around in the sky. As my friends continued to watch the sky, I noticed a light through the trees that seemed to be coming our way. My first thought was that it was a park ranger with a flashlight, walking though the campground, making his rounds like they often do. Then I realized that the light couldn't be a flashlight because a flashlight would produce a "beam" of light, and this was more of a "globe". My next thought was that someone was carrying some type of Coleman lantern. I rationalized that away, because the color was all wrong. This light was bluish in color, not white or yellow, as would be expected. As the light got closer (it seemed to be weaving its way through the trees towards us), I realized that it couldn't be a Coleman lantern because people usually carry those at their sides or at eye level. Someone would have had to carry this way over their heads, and people just don't do that. Unable to rationalize in my mind what I was seeing, I said to my friends: "Hey guys, forget the lights in the sky ... what is THAT light over there coming towards us???" I explained to my friends all the rationalizations that I had went through in my mind. They couldn't explain it either. It just looked like a basketball-sized ball of bluish light that was slowly "meandering " towards us. It scared us so badly that we hopped in our truck and drove off. We returned to our campsite about 30 minutes later. The light on the ground was gone. After much reading, I've come to the conclusion that it may have been a "probe" as described by Budd Hopkins in his book "intruders".

About 8 years ago, when I was still living with my ex-partner, I had been asleep, when for a very split second I had opened my eyes and then closed them again. When I closed my eyes I had THOUGHT that I had just seen something, and I opened my eyes a second time to take a look. Then all of a sudden I started screaming. My partner, who had been sleeping next to me suddenly bolted awake and grabbed me. Our three dogs came running into the bedroom and jumped on the bed. The dogs laid on top of me and stayed with me until morning. I kept looking around the room. Every time I'd start to doze off, I'd bolt back awake and look around the room again. I was scared of going back to sleep, and was terrified for months afterwards. What did I see? I don't recall actually seeing anything, I just remember being absolutely terrified. I later shared this story with a friend. She asked what I had seen, and I told her that I don't remember seeing anything, I just THOUGHT I had seen something in that split second, but I can't tell you what. Then she said "... but you felt it's presence." And when she told me that, I got chills and I was really "creeped" out.
